Welcome to the Center for International Programs

For more than forty years the Center for International Programs has served the needs of both students and faculty members who have had a desire to study, work, do research, or participate in other experiences outside their native countries.

The office serves both American students wanting to study abroad as well as international students who wish to study in the United States. Staff members provide assistance to faculty members wanting to create exchange programs, lead study tours abroad, as well as assist with the H-1B application process for foreign faculty members.

The Center for International Programs provides the following services:

Our students agree:

Packing up and moving halfway across the world is definitely one of the best things I have ever done. I packed up and moved half way around the world to America without having a clue what to expect.

Now that I am here, I am so happy.”

- Ting He , China

I just wanted to take the time to express how incredibly grateful I am to you (Center for International Programs) and the University for giving me the opportunity to study here in BG for a year. My time has been absolutely unforgettable …What is most amazing is that I have achieved and seen so much more than I could ever have imagined, and I have the University to thank for a large part of that.

Your current slogan is ‘Building Dreams’ – I think BG gave me my dream a long time ago.”

- Joe McEwan, Aberystwyth, United Kingdom

Through our programs students and faculty learn to communicate with people of other cultures, religions and political perspectives and experience life outside the borders of one’s own country, all of which equips them to be leaders in our increasingly complex world.
